Something I've put on my wishlist: 21:9 monitor. Ultra Wide WQHD (2K). 3440x1440. Screens are curved giving you full vision.
Only issue is the price :-) 800-900 EUR for one that has 100 Hz refresh rate and Freesync.
Only found two at this refresh rate. Rest is 60 to max 75. Going higher needs upgrade of displayport but it's like a million more pixels than WQHD in 16:9 that needs to be fed with data so to get over 100 Hz needs use horse power of the GPU. Found only two that fit the job:
First need a Vega GPU and then we will see.

Dont use freesync unless u have an AMD card. It's basicaly useless with nvidia.
Dont get 100Hz. I would strongly recommend 120Hz or even 144Hz if you can.

Yes, that's why I wait. My monitor doesn't exist yet.
Side note. Difference of perception for the eye is bigger from 60 to 100 than 100 to 144.

Agreed, 144Hz is not a big deal really. But I'd never go below 120

So I'm hoping I pass probabtion soon and maybe get a pay rise and bonus next year cause for my gaming setup I'm going to look at getting the following:
Monitor (Due for release in Q4 2017) and a new GPU (looking at nVidia's new release of Volta and probably on a par with the Titan X I currently have)
19 Sep - 19:05
I guess it will cost 1500 euro minimum Because of the hdr. Beast of a monitor.
Q4 2017 is outdated info. Both asus and acer delayed to 2018 the new line up 21:9 hdr monitors.

Phew, I got more time to save then No one tell my wife how much this will all cost
