Ready or Not
26 Sep - 16:52
Recoil isn't static but not entirely random either, it follows a pattern but uses the pattern values for a minimum and a maximum range the recoil could go, so random but predictable to a degree. Recoil is increased when moving and falling.

The idea was to always have two different SWAT colours, never shooting an enemy in the exact coloured uniform as you. However, since a lot of people thought it'd be interesting to battle a "rogue" unit or something similar, we're in the process of adding a "suspect" playermodel for PVP that looks entirely different from the SWAT, with its own silhouette and pattern. They'll be using the same gear. A lot of people in the community have asked for asymmetrical gameplay but that will have to wait, as it's very difficult to balance out properly.
This idea was tossed up a lot before announcement, but it seems like the community has asked for it more than we thought.
You'll have AI in single player to order around, and you should be able to order in the same ways as SWAT 3 or 4.
Currently we have three multiplayer gamemodes to test out: TDM, VIP Escort, and one more which involves a hostage. So that last one will include a defending team, but we're still working on it.
RON's environment isn't destructible in the same way Siege is, ours is more the "impression" of destruction. Just thought I'd clear that up :) We're definitely closer to SWAT 4 than Siege.
Currently being shot in the arms and legs will affect your aim and speed respectively, but we're looking to subtly expand on this moving forwards.
You still have health "points" technically, but of course they don't regenerate and you'll still die in one or two rounds to any vital areas.
They compare ready or not with the siege trailer of 2014 which looked like this and was close to SWAT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eatDyi1c-5Q The game of today is not.
