New video online ! Some pro player in action
and pre-alpha gameplay: 15min
Don't forget it is TDM and not 5v5 S&D
No boring realism like SQUAD but good all fast action with jumping like COD2 and COD4 (promod).
Some work on the graphics part still but it is not even alpha footage so...

To be honest. Im not impressed by this game. It looks like any other attempt on WW2 FPS games. Only alot more "arcadey"

I don't agree. Recent games only try to make it realistic like arma, insurgency, squad, red orchestra and so on. They are pretty boring. I tried a lot of those.
The movement equals cod4 promod. Wouldn't call it arcade as this game was very competitive. 5v5 search and destroy.
You have to take into account that this is the smallest map with tdm, played by seasoned gamer who has over 200hours running around in the game. He designed the jump and sprint moves so he knows them pretty good. :)
Anyhow watch a video of cod4 and you see the same moves of pro players that master it.
I've been looking forward and searching aaa and indie games to bring this back. I had a blast on cod4.
I can understand it looks strange to the youngest gamers of today. They only know kiddie cod games and battlefield.

This is the blast I was talking about. Few months ago we reinstalled COD4:

Found this post of ex-Penta player, Penta is as you know (or else you haven't watched one video of ESL siege), the best team on Siege.:
Hello, first of all let me introduce myself.I am František "A1GA" Kotačka, 20 years old from Czech republic.I am a retired Rainbow Six: Siege professional player looking to switch over to Battalion1944.In Rainbow Six: Siege I competed in three Pro League seasons, captaining the worlds best team in the first one and attending IEM Katowice 2016, captaining the best French team in the second one and winning DreamHack - and coming back to PENTA Sports in the third season.Reason I quit Rainbow Six: Siege is because the game has gamebreaking bugs even after its been released for over a year among many many other reasons (like Ubisofts complete failure in advertising their own competition program and supporting their players besides putting 75k on the line). My original plan was to go to Battlefield 1 where I had a very solid line-up prepared (ex-BF4 pros from SK gaming, dignitas etc.) but despite promises and a decent amount of inside information, nothing is happening from EAs / DICEs side. Here is my full Rainbow Six: Siege CV: https://goo.gl/yIytmnI am looking to either get picked up or put together a line-up of my own based on whoever I can find - very early on like I did in Rainbow Six: Siege.I can attend LANs literally anywhere in the world, I can stay in long-term bootcamps or even move anywhere in the world, theres absolutely nothing holding me down in Czech republic.I am self-employed and financially secure meaning I can put a lot of my free time into studying replays, opponents, strats etc.I am capable of leading and representing the team as well as making business decisions and IGL-ing - shotcalling / captaining.I have connections to a few tier 1 / 2 eSport organizations.I played a lot of other games (CS:S, CS:GO, CoD2, QL, OW, UT) all on a decent level but Rainbow Six: Siege was the first one I decided to compete in.If I need to state the obvious I expect my teammates to be always on time, be able to practice 5-6 days a week 4-6 hours a day, practice and watch replays on their own outside of team practice etc. - all the good stuff.

Those who bought the Alpha access on HumbleBundle (just like me) will receive an Alpha-Key on May 24th!
What To Expect From The Closed Alpha
Next week we’ll be releasing an update that details exactly how the Alpha weekends will be organised and the content & features that you can expect during Closed Alpha testing.
We take every opportunity to remind people to have realistic expectations of the Closed Alpha. This is NOT a marketing tool for us and is genuinely going to be used to test and fix the game.
The Alpha will be broken and not representative of the final game. It’s important for our more active and involved community members help repeat that message to other newer or less active users during the Alpha!

Looking good, tell me how it is when you're testing

We can rape them together

Ah Brussie I love your optimism.......you've seen me play Siege right??

26 May - 11:22
Brussie have you used your code yet? I tried using my code and it initiated a 120-ish MB download and that was it. Don't seem to have brought any game files down with it. How about you?
26 May - 11:51
Ok my bad, just read this:
26 May - 11:53
Which makes no sense. Alpha in only open from 6pm till 2am today and Saturday. So for the first *insert how long it will take you to download 10Gb on your internet connection*, you'll be sat there waiting for the files to download.
Hopefully this is just a one time thing. After this it will just be updates that hopefully can be pushed out before the 6pm start time.

Alpha V0.2 Changelog:
- ManorHouse_V2 implemented -
We’ve made massive changes to the Manorhouse layout on the ‘B long’ lane next to the B bombsite overlook barn. We did this to encourage a smoother flow around that side of the map as well as adding more aggressive and defensive options when playing around that site, ready for the future implementation of our own competitive Search and Destroy styled game mode.
- Movement speed in every stance reduced by 30% across the board.
- Strafe jump distance reduced by 25%.
- Changed prone animation to be more in line with CoD 1/2/4 in order to combat drop-shotting.
- Slower transition to prone.
- Prone rotation arc distance reduced.
- 1st person & 3rd person lean distance increased.
- Changed lean move speed to feel more natural.
- Vault lag bug fixed.
- Prone block implemented -
We’ve implemented a way to remove the frustration of an old school pain - ‘prone block’. There should no longer be a situation where you want to go prone but can’t. Your player model will move to adjust to the environment around it. We’d like to hear your feedback on this feature!
